"...DO YOU LIKE GOOD MUSIC?..." It's a simple question. It's also a question I've asked countless times. I'm happy to say that last Saturday night everyone in the Netherlands that was in attendance at The Soulful Sessions answered in the affirmative! LONG LIVE SOUL MUSIC!

Greetings and salutations my beloved! I leave the country today for a months worth of performances in Italy and from there it's on to the Netherlands and Turkey. I believe in spreading the Gospel of Soul music if for no other reason than it is the ONLY gospel I know! Here is a clip from my performance last month at the Soulful Sessions in the Netherlands. I opened with one of my favorite songs from my album, "1634 Lexington Avenue" - "WE'RE ALL WE GOT" available on Timmion Records. I'll see y'all stateside in October. One of the highlights of my performances are always when I invite people up on the stage to do their thing. Anyone and I do mean ANYONE who was in attendance at my recent salute to James Brown at Drom will no doubt remember when this cat named "LOU" got up onstage to get down. And get down he did!!!

We will have a soulful good time in Groningen this coming Saturday night! I'll be performing soul songs from my albums and doing my absolute best to make sure everyone has a good time! I must admit that in spite of their being the forefathers of what would come to be known as anti establishment punk rock, I wasn't overly familiar with the MC 5. Sure I'd heard the expression, "...kick out the jams motherf*ckers!..". It was quite the war cry, a rallying expression that covered a multitude of sins but for the most part was taken to mean, LET'S GO! So when the mighty Mike Fornatale first presented me with this classic, I went with it. Well let me just say, I am so in love with this song now and the energy contained therein truly moves any room. It's two minutes and fifty three seconds of pure testosterone. Here is my performance of the iconic MC 5 classic, "Kick Out The Jams".
